The article "'The Gilded Age' lens focused on Capital Region," Aug. 7, about Julian Fellowes in Troy and other communities for filming "The Gilded Age" has him wanting to know why there isn't a passenger railroad coming directly into downtown Troy to bring people to visit? That is a good question. Troy was once the northern terminus of the New York Central service along the Hudson, serving what is now some 27 million people in the New York metropolitan area who might now have a renewed interest in Troy, its history and real estate.
